Developing A Stress Management Approach That Does Not Necessitate A Large Amount Regarding Time And Energy
A stress management plan doesn't necessarily require a lot of time and energy. Many times it is just setting a commitment to reduce the amount of stress that you experienced, by taking a few small, but significant, steps toward strengthening your general health and well-being.
An excellent place to begin your stress management plan is by identifying 5 activities which you enjoy participating in. These can be anything from reading a good quality book, to having a long walk on the beach.
Should you have hobbies that you simply enjoy spending time on, be sure to include these as part of your list. Additional options could be things you have always desired to do, but never got around to, or stuff you used to enjoy, but haven't had made the effort for lately.
The main stipulation is that these are activities that are not associated with work, or another cause of stress in your life.
Make a list of at least 2 things that you more often than not do, that you probably should never be doing, or can live without doing. This list can include things such as bringing work home from the office, doing your teenagers laundry, cooking huge meals during the week, after working all day etc...
Most are stuff that will not cause the world to sink, in the event you stop doing them.
Create a list of at least 2 things that you probably should have done by now, but didn't. Stuff you are already putting off, or problems you have not been handling directly.
If you have been meaning to call your broker for the past few weeks, but haven't, if you have been planning on dusting the cob-webs on the front entry way for a month, but haven't, write those things down.
At this point your 3 lists will now become a goal sheet. Your stress levels management plan looks like this

-Spend no less than 15 minutes every single day doing one of the things I enjoy. (List the 5 things you wrote earlier under this section.)
-Get rid of 2 needless tasks from my listing of activities. (List the 2 things that you wrote earlier under this section.)
-Tackle 2 things that you have been putting off for a while. (List the 2 things that your wrote before under this section.)
